Cassia – natural care, noticeable volume

Cassia strengthens the hair structure, provides visibly more volume and ensures a healthy, natural shine. On very light or gray hair, it can leave a delicate golden blonde shimmer without significantly changing the natural hair color.

Ideal as a base care or for mixing with henna, katam or indigo:
Cassia softens intense color results, improves the creamy consistency of the paste and gives the hair additional care and shine. In our Knowledge Portal you will find inspiration for individual mixing ratios.

Our cassia powder comes from controlled organic farming and is gently extracted from the leaves of the Cassia obovata. It is the ideal plant-based care for naturally beautiful hair – without dyes, additives or chemicals.

Cassia as a hair treatment

1. Mix the powder

Mix approx. 50–100 g of Cassia powder(depending on hair length) with warm waterinto a creamy, yogurt-like paste. An ideal temperature is approx. 40–50 °C– pleasantly warm, but not hot.

2. Application

Apply the paste evenly to freshly washed, towel-dried hair. Pay special attention to the lengths and ends– this is where hair is often most in need of care.

3. Let it set

Cover the hair with a shower cap or cling film and place a towel over itto retain the heat.

Processing time:30–60 minutes – the longer it is left on, the more intensive the nourishing effect.

4. Rinse

Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Shampoo is not necessary, so that the natural protective layer remains in the hair.

5. Aftercare

It is best to wait 24 hours before washing hair with shampoo– this allows the treatment to penetrate deeply and gives the hair an extra shine.
The hair treatment can be repeated monthly to strengthen and nourish the hair.

Ist Cassia farbloses Henna?
Nicht ganz. Cassia (Cassia obovata) wird oft „neutrales Henna“ genannt, ist aber eine eigene Pflanze und färbt kaum. Auf dunklem Haar sieht man keine Farbe, nur mehr Glanz. Auf sehr hellem oder grauem Haar kann ein zarter Goldschimmer entstehen.
Färbt Cassia graue oder blonde Haare gelb?
Es kann einen leichten golden-gelblichen Schimmer geben, vor allem auf weißem oder hellblondem Haar. Wenn du das nicht möchtest, mach vorher einen Test an einer Strähne. Der Ton verblasst nach einigen Wäschen wieder.
Deckt Cassia graue Haare ab?
Nein, Cassia allein deckt kein Grau ab. Für helle, natürliche Töne auf grauem Haar mischst du Cassia mit etwas Henna, zum Beispiel Goldblond mit 90 % Cassia und 10 % Henna.
Wofür mische ich Cassia zu Henna, Katam oder Indigo?
Cassia mildert die Farbe ab und macht das Ergebnis heller und natürlicher. Mit Henna entstehen Erdbeerblond bis Kupfer statt kräftigem Rot, mit Katam hellere Braun- und Aschblondtöne. Außerdem wird die Paste cremiger und lässt sich leichter auftragen.
Wie wende ich Cassia als Haarkur an?
Rühr das Pulver mit warmem Wasser zu einer cremigen Paste an, trag sie auf das gewaschene Haar auf und lass sie 30 bis 60 Minuten unter einer Haube einwirken. Danach gründlich mit Wasser ausspülen, bis keine Krümel mehr im Haar sind. Das Haar fühlt sich danach fülliger an und glänzt, weil sich Cassia wie ein Mantel um jedes Haar legt.
Wie lange hält die Wirkung von Cassia?
Der Pflegeeffekt hält meist einige Wäschen. Anders als Henna bindet sich Cassia nicht dauerhaft ans Haar. Viele wiederholen die Kur deshalb alle paar Wochen.
Meine Haare fühlen sich nach Cassia stumpf an, was tun?
Meist sind noch Pulverreste im Haar. Spül länger und gründlich mit warmem Wasser aus. Ein Schuss Essig im letzten Spülwasser macht das Haar wieder glatter, denn durch die Säure legt sich die Schuppenschicht des Haares wieder an.
